Words from the Artist
This artwork began with a simple request from my daughter Chloe:
"Can you draw me a Mermaid Cowgirl to hang up in my room?"
As I started drawing, she became more than just a character. She became a reminder to be brave, trust yourself and do things your own way.
Mermaid Cowgirls don't fit neatly into one box. They follow their own path, trust their instincts and aren't afraid to stand out from the crowd.
These are all qualities I hope my daughter carries with her as she grows up.
And my hope is that whenever she sees the words "Saddle Up. Be Brave. Make Waves." hanging on her wall, she remembers to believe in herself, back her own ideas and have the courage to be exactly who she is.
