Miss Miranda’s Art Club is a small-group after-school studio program (10 children max) designed to nurture creativity, confidence and artistic skill in a calm, supportive environment.

Across the term, students will explore bold shape, collage, painting and mixed media through engaging weekly projects. Each session introduces a new subject while building on core visual techniques such as layering, composition and expressive use of colour.

With a maximum of 10 students, children receive individual guidance while developing creative independence and confidence in their own ideas.

All materials are included.

Term Fee: $320 (8-session program)
Full payment secures enrolment. Places are strictly limited to 10 students.

What We’ll Create

Throughout the term, students will work on bold, shape-based artworks including:

• Expressive face and animal portraits
• Collage still-life compositions
• Mixed media artworks combining paint, pen and cut paper

Projects focus on layering, colour, composition and creative expression — with a new subject explored each week.

About Miss Miranda

Miss Miranda is an artist, illustrator and creative director with over 25 years of experience working in the creative industry. She has spent her career developing visual ideas, storytelling and design across publishing and the arts.

She is also the author and illustrator of the children’s books Hello Mermaids! and The Blooms, both of which have been warmly received by young readers and families. Miranda regularly visits schools across Sydney to share her books through readings and creative workshops that encourage imagination, confidence and creative thinking.

Through Miss Miranda’s Art Club, she brings her professional artistic experience into the classroom, guiding children through thoughtful, engaging projects designed to nurture creativity, artistic skill and self-expression in a supportive studio environment.


Important Information

Arrival

Students will make their way directly to the designated classroom at the conclusion of the school day. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child understands where to go. Doors will be open at 3pm. Snack time will take place then class will begin at 3:15pm.

If a student does not arrive as expected, parents will be contacted.


Collection

Children must be collected promptly at 5:00pm from the designated pick-up location.


Absences

Parents must notify Miranda via text or email if their child will be absent from a scheduled session.


Terms & Conditions

Enrolment & Payment

Full payment is required to secure enrolment. Places are limited and confirmed upon receipt of payment.


Refund Policy

Refunds are not available once the term has commenced.

If you withdraw prior to the start of the program, a credit may be issued (valid for 6 months).

If the program is cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, a full refund will be provided.


Missed Classes

No refunds, credits or make-up sessions are offered for missed classes.


Duty of Care

Supervision begins at 3:15pm and concludes at 5:00pm.

Attendance will be marked at the beginning of each session. If a student does not arrive as expected, parents will be contacted.


Behaviour

Miranda Sheppard Art reserves the right to cancel a child’s enrolment if behaviour compromises the safety or experience of other students.


Medical Information

Parents must disclose any allergies, medical conditions or additional support needs at the time of enrolment.


Food Policy

This is a nut-free program. Please provide a healthy snack and water bottle.
